Terms of sale for digital products

Last updated: 17 October 2026. Inspector Hoot is an AI-generated fictional character. The products are made by Fabian Bertea, Romania. These terms are a plain-language summary and do not limit any right you have under EU or national consumer law.

Who sells to you

Orders are processed by our reseller, the Merchant of Record named on the checkout page (Stripe Managed Payments, or Polar). The Merchant of Record is the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges and pays VAT, and issues your invoice. Its checkout terms apply in addition to these.

Prices

All prices are final prices including VAT (for example "€9 incl. VAT", "9 € inkl. MwSt.", "9 € (TVA inclus)"). There are no shipping costs. We do not show invented "was" prices; if we ever announce a discount, we show the lowest price of the previous 30 days. The contract is concluded when you press the order button on the checkout page, which states that the order involves an obligation to pay.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from a contract for digital content within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving a reason.

Immediate download: digital content is delivered right away. Before paying, the checkout asks for your explicit consent:

"I want immediate access to the download. I agree that delivery starts now and I understand that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once the download begins."

If you give this consent and acknowledgement, the right of withdrawal ends once the download starts (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)). We confirm your consent in the order email. If you did not give it, you keep the full 14-day right and pay nothing for content you withdraw from.

To withdraw, send a clear statement (an email is enough) to inspector.hoot.studio@gmail.com or to the Merchant of Record. You may use this model form:

We refund within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the original payment method.

Our voluntary 14-day refund

Independently of the legal rules above, if you are not happy with a pack you may ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Write to inspector.hoot.studio@gmail.com with your order number.

Faulty content

If a file is missing, broken or not as described, you have the legal remedies for non-conforming digital content (repair or replacement, price reduction or refund). Contact us first so we can fix it quickly.

What the products are

Educational printables about common scams. Cases are fictional dramatizations based on real, dated public alerts. They are not legal, financial or security advice and do not guarantee that you will avoid fraud. In an emergency contact your bank and the police. We never offer money recovery services.

Licence: for personal and family use. Please do not resell or publish the files; schools and organisations can ask us for a licence.
