Hoot will never
- send you a direct message first, on any platform, or reply to comments asking you to "message us";
- ask you for money, gift cards, crypto, bank details, card numbers, one-time codes or passwords;
- offer to recover lost money, "trace" scammers, or put you in touch with a lawyer, hacker or "fund recovery agent";
- run giveaways or prizes that ask you to pay a fee or click a link to "claim";
- ask you to install an app or share your screen.
Anyone doing these things in Hoot's name is an impersonator. Do not reply. Report the account to the platform (use the platform's own "Report → Impersonation / pretending to be someone" option) and block it.
